Fished derwent with my son yesterday,joined the line at about 8.00 and waited for 30 minutes,but well worth the wait.Decided to fish up beside hunter house just before the pond,always peaceful up there not too many venture that far up.Started off hectic and manage three fish up too 2lb on the power bait.struck into a good take and a better fish that did not want too come into the shallows,eventually landed a nice rainbow of 5lb 6oz.I t went a bit quiet around midday as the sun got stronger.Arran my son went a wandering and found a shoal just in the mouth of the pond he managed another 3 fish with one just short of 3lb.All in all an enjoyable day with some fantastic weather and scenery,i think i will be giving up seafishing till October.
Well done to the three lads fly fishing from blyth who left all there sh@t on the bank,broken flask,broken chair and empty food tins etc,thought it was just sea fishing had this problem obviously not.

Your right about the spot it is a long way but next time out i,ll go along there. As to the sh$te it must just be a small proportion of anglers. I take all of my rubbish with me.
