alright lads, any tips for derwent next sunday fly wise? i've been reading that green and black lures and black fritz are the boys, also, having only fished small waters like sharpley and aldin so is leader material and length as important, i'm guessing that the fish in those ponds have seen it all and have probs been caught before whereas at derwent i recon the fish are maybe..........stupider?

just seen your post tom. i use a long leader - say 12 feet and black fritz and this does the job. Some of the fish can be quite shy on the take.

thanks mick, been reading through all the posts about derwent, have a incredibly poor record over the last 3 or 4 trips (last year) on bait but feel a bit more confident this year
