Another question for the boat anglers!!!
i was jus wonderin if many of you fish hard on the bottom with crab baits etc.
cause we know theres rays, dogfish likely even a few smmoothhounds out there jus outta reach of the shore anglers most of the time!!!
so i was jus wonderin if any of you fish hard on the sea bed?

People do anchor up but I think its usually over the hard ground, targeting cod.

I do but mainly over the winter, me and Deano have had doggies and other species, but no Rays yet...

Those species you have mentioned has all been caught on Seaham pier this year and as jester said me and him have had doggies so far on crab baits fishing hard on bottom in the past ive had haddock,gurnard and my mate caught a monkfish fishing the same method deffo worth a try

Smoothound was caught earlier in the year on North Star off Hartlepool.
