Digging Worms

Is it possible to dig worms at this time of year off the northumberland beaches, or not worth the hassle.

Yeah. I dig all year round. Its easier to dig in the warmer months too.

Don't know where you're on about, but as a footnote, one of the local coble fishermen from Boulmer had kindly asked a lad not to dig around his boat last week as it could be a danger to him and was told by the digger he'd dig 'wherever the F**K he liked' and if the fisherman tried to get him stopped he'd 'Hole his F****N boat'.
Nice chap eh? I'm led to belive, the fisherman recorded the conversation on his mobile which he's handed to the local plod.

A lad I work with who's from the village says they are now coming up, digging for a few hours and then going off poaching with ferretts as well.

Going the right way to getting us all stopped. MORONS!

I rarely dig at Boulmer because of the idiots that come up by the bus load. I dig pretty local and only take what I need for myself.
The idiots that dig at boulmer won't be pleased til its stopped completely.

wont dig there 1 because of a-- holes 2 because the only place there is worms is where you cant dig .

There was millions of casts on the beach at Seahouses but apparantly you cannot dig due to it being protected, think its National Heritage land or something like that.
Scouted round Hartlepool last week and not much about.
