doel fins

all right lads,,can anyone explain what the benefits of fitting doel fins are,,i am running a 15hp motor on very light 16ft boat,,it goes pretty well on the water,,would it improve the performance?? cheers lads parrot..........

i have doel fins on my engine although it doesnt seem any faster it does get up on the plane alot easyer than without them

you can try altering the pitch on your engine and that would give you alot more speed {aslong as the pitch isnt correct at current} all you have to do is move the spring loaded pin that your engine locks onto the next hole up or down untill you find the best result hope this helps

quicker onto the plane, less or no porpoising (if that was a problem in the first place), adds some stability at speed, can help with steering, and can add a bit of fuel economy

effects vary boat to boat. had one where it maid little difference and another where the effects were quite dramatic
