Well, been planning to have a trip up all week, with the wind blowing as it was. Forecast was for the wind to move easterly, so pencilled in a trip for today.
got up there about half seven, and the sea was like a mill pond. (its crap up there when its flat). Anyway, fished the tide down, with two rods, near and far, with mackie, rag, and cocktails of the two. Never even had a bite. I should have learned from last few times out. Now its definite, dont go when theres no blow!!
Cracking weather for chilling right out tho, so not all bad. thanks for the lass with the chocolate lab off the lead that ate me mackie, just as well it was me last cast!!!

Only had the odd shot there and timed it badly each time for the weather/tides. Love walking the dogs there though early in the mornings, worth the drive from Blyth at 5am for miles of usually deserted beach.

do you park in the visitor centre place, where the shop is or is there somewhere else to park, and do you just walk through onto beach and fish there
