Druridge Bay

I'm looking to give Druridge Bay a go next week (depending on weather conditions) and as it's my first time there I am looking for some advice of marks to fish from. I have looked through previous threads and I see a few marks have been mentioned so if anyone could send me a pm of recommended marks and how to get there that would be appreciated.

Cheers

Mike

druridge bay

hello mike, fished it a few times last year, (but not as much as i'd have liked).
if you type druridge bay into google earth, the pointer comes up right in the middle. That turn off is where we caught the most fish. turn off there and drive right to the end of the bumpy track. theres a lake to your left and the sea to the right.
walk straight down to the sea along the little stream.
we fished just behind the breakers with rag and macky strip. Hoping for a bass but in a few trips never saw one. We caught flatties and small turbot, a new species for me.
I'll be back up there again a few times this year hopefully, cos its a beautiful place to fish, and you dont get any eejits about.
We fished a few of the recognised spots, but this was the best.
Oh, and a couple of hours each side of low water was best, with a bit of a sea on.
Good luck, aky.

good beach to fish for flattys and like said odd turbot turn up ya dont need great distance to catch has theres some sand bars where they feed i prefer rag baits tipped with mackerel or bluey on a 2 hook flapper rig
