Fished up the castle yesterday hoping for Pollock on the Float, tried different spots, but it's that lifting with Mackerel they were taking the Rag or Sandeel that I was floating with ! Nightmare ! Anything else wasn't getting a look in. Returned all Fish safely as its to far to carry a bag full of Macky ! Lol.
Decided to go get my Quota from Cullernose this morning so did just that, got 80 Fillets in the Freezer and that's me done with them, saves wasting time on 1 of my boat trips. On leaving Cullernose spoke to a couple lads wandering down to the Dene, on the Pollock and Reddie hunt. Perfect morning for it like. Only bad thing to report was the amount of Crap left behind on both these marks, especially Dunstanbrough, had abit Craic with the poor lass who's job it was to Litter Pick, and they've started putting 2 people on to tidy up after "anglers". Shouldn't be the way, 24 cans of Carling and 4 litres of Scrummpy Jack right next to where I was fishing, should if seen the lasses face when I told her they were all mine, lol... Nowt nicer than the odd Tinnie when your fishing sometimes, I'm all for it, but who the f@&k could drink all that and make it back along to Craster ! Mad Heads !!!
