I've only fished it a night. Are you able to walk straight through castle when it's open ? Or do you get stopped? Do u have to pay or anything??
Cheers lads.

Was thinking that last time I walked along there Stan. But a wouldn't have a clue where to fish from ! Seen a few nice little rocks etc

i dont know it exactly but its a walk as well:mad:
instead of approaching castle from the south as you are going to do:)

you approach from the west but im not sure of the route:confused:

I'm guessing u start at Embleton area. Canny walk aswell!! Haha. Fished Embleton beach. And the castle was in the distance!! FAR DISTANCE!! Ha

park down the bottom of dunstanborough steads and walk along the side of the golf course past the par three, you will see where you want to go from there. if you come in from craster the second gulley to the right can throw some good fish up depending on the conditions but be careful on the black rocks if they are wet, iv'e been on my arse a few times. if you get to the big old log on the track you have just passed the second gulley, you can't miss it.

Nice 1 m8. That's the info a want. Rotten bottom shot is it? Full of kelp?

Sound bud. Cheers

iv'e had some good sessions up at that mark during the winter as well as the summer but i have found it a waste of time if the sea is big, normally use a simple rotten bottom rig or one hook pulley rig with a nice big bait. last time i was running out of frozen crab witch wasn't getting me much so i pulled some limpet off the rocks and next 2 casts had to nice 2lb red cod. it's one of my favourite areas off the rocks apart from st abbs.
good luck ;)

loads of shots steve o heavy, heavy ground like i said roving angler as your covering more ground their is some good holes if some1 was there to show you had some nice fish up there myself up to 6lbs and a 20lb bag and 1 just under summer and winter use your intuition good luck
