The comp was fished on Seaham Hall Beach between 1700hrs and 2100hrs in calm conditions and high tide around 1900hrs.
Decided that I would try and go for a cod,so made my way onto the boulders nxt to the Feather bed rock with a bucket of live crab and rag, with all the other lads making their way down to the North end of the beach nxt to the caves.
For the first ninty mins, had two crackin slack liners but nothing to show for it,then got news that a few of the lads had landed some crackin whiteys on the beach.Quickly made my way to the car and within minutes,I was back home depositing most ov me crab back into the fridge and collecting some sand eel.
Made way to the caves to be informed that one of the lads had 9 whiteys, all just under a pound each already. "IVE GOT NO CHANCE NOW" I thought.
Baited up with rag and sand eel and was into fish straight away.
A good session for the rest of the Comp produced 10 Whiteys weighing in at 6lb 13oz, but not enough to take the money.

RESULT. 4 WEIGHING IN
1ST G.VIETCH 16 fish (Whiteys,dab and a flounder) 11lb 7oz (13pts)
2nd I.AINSLEY 10 fish (Whiteys) 6lb 13oz (11pts)

4th B.HUSCROFT 2 fish (Whiteys) 1lb 11oz (7pts)

It all depends, once you get the Metro through Byker you'll need to replace your nicked gear on the way.

Think it's about 20 minutes. quicker in a taxi from outside and then no time wasted.

Sandshead sounds great looking forward to it I hear its on par with Hayling Island ps Blyth aint that bad you can make loads of friends on the beach .

I don't know Ian. That shingle is comfy to sleep off the beer until Zippie wakes you up with his phone calls.

Well Peter, I tried tellin you that WALKABOUT in Pompy was full of dirty women and cheap beer, but no, you insisted in given it a visit with Flathead saying it would be a walk in the park...!!
