Easy fishing marks.

Hey guys.....recently decided to get back into sea fishing....
Have fished most of my life when in the RAF, but haven't done much for the last 5 years or so after leaving.

Was wondering, having moved to the NE (Blyth) with a new job, where some good accessible marks were so I can take my eldest boy who is 8 with me.

Have fished Blyth pier in the summer for mackerel (and caught plenty) numerous times and was looking for somewhere else to go, and somewhere the boy would enjoy.

Thx in advance,

Phil.

Well the quay side is easy and you will catch very small stuff right down the sides.
The ramp at Cambois is easy to get to but getting the lead back up rocks can be awkward for a young one.
Blyth beach in general is easy to get to,safe and can be productive. Just scout at low tide for holes or fish either side of the pipe or rather the remains of the supports that you will have seen from the pier.
Cambois beach also can be good and if you travel further along the road from Cambois heading towards Sleekburn and park at the second car park after the railway crossing there is another pipe. Again lots of good spots along there

Take a look at the disabled fishing marks thread at the top of the shore fishing section. A few of those will also be suitable for you both.

:):)If your taking the bairn, I would suggest Lynemouth beach, as long as the swells arn't too big, as it is deep water close in, so even a short cast can produce fish and tackle losses are small away from the rocky areas. Good luck.
