Had a run out today with the forcast being so good , and it was magic , what a fantastic day to be at sea :D The forcast said a bit breezy early on and it was spot on , quite bumpy to start , but a good run of cod from a wreck soon took my mind off the bumpy sea. First fish in the boat was actually a pollock of about 4lb , I had to put it back for conservation sake , didn't want to massacre it  , a move to a different wreck produced the run of cod , first fish up was a 71/2 lber , nice:)

I took half a dozen nice fish in quick succession from that wreck before leaving it for pastures new , I'm a bit nomadic when I'm out in the boat :D
I set off for the "coley wreck " to find Warlord already there , I did a couple of donuts round her watching the rods , but non seemed to be bending so I set off for another wreck close by, Warlord left the wreck soon after so I guess it wasn't producing :(

I caught up with her on the way back into the harbour at the end of the day.
Meantime though the wreck I had chosen was also visited by another boat , I had a couple of drops there , but there was no sign of fish and I don't like sharing a wreck so I steamed off in search of solitude and found it a few miles further out , by now you could have played billiards on the sea it was so flat , except the balls would sink
My new wreck was stuffed with fish , again I had a run of half a dozen nice cod and again the best one went 71/2 lb , I had enough fish fot the table and was experimenting with different rigs and shads when this bad boy turned up , first decent size one this year

He also went 71/2 lb , took an orange shad ,

This was one of the best days I've had at sea since I started boat fishing , it was glorious , can't wait to get back out there :)

Super Ray, just when it was looking like it was tailing off for the season.

We are almost at the top of Mallaca before heading down the straits and back home on arrival in Singapore. Cheers for leaving the 15lb'ers for me!:) Back early next week!

Well done Ray. How do these good reports always seem to appear on the days i have to work :mad::mad:
Thats fishing i suppose, I'm sure my day will come :)

Glad to see you didn't cause a massacre! You've had a good day by the looks. I was out fishing the ground close in alongside the Lady Penelope and we both had about 15 fish each, weather fantastic for once, and plenty of maccy's as well.
