Well , it had to happen sooner or later , the luck of the hat ran out 
hit all my favourite wrecks and only managed the odd fish from every other one , millions of mackerel out there today , 12 feet down the sounder showed a solid mass of red that lasted an age on the drift , I'm taking a fly rod next time out , I bet they are fun on the fly 
I don't know whether the fish are still there but just not feeding or have moved on , but the wrecks were very quiet today , I moved inshore and fished the hard ground , loads of fish there and all hungry , problem is most of them are very small and it's a case of plugging away till one of the bigger ones take hold.
Still had an enjoyable day out and still caught a decent number of fish , but I missed the arm wrenching pull of the 8 and 9 pounders that I was catching the last few trips ....... but there's always tomorrow
