Nice lie in this morning , leasurely breakfast and look out at the trees in the garden to decide whether to fish or go to work........ guess what I decided 
Arrived at Amble at low tide or thereabouts but a nice neap tide meant no worrying about cills and bars and just set the gear up and go.
I headed straight out on a nice smooth sea to my first stop of the day , there was nothing doing , but the sea was flat and the breeze was warm so I was quite happy to go look for them again.
After trying a few more wrecks without success I finally found one with fish on it , I dropped a pirk down and hooked a little ling , which amazingly managed to swim back down again.
Next drop down
I hooked into a leviathon , it just turned , bent the rod double and headed back into the wreck like it was on it's morning stroll , I couldn't stop it and everything went solid and I had to pull for a break 
Two more drifts over this same spot produced two more big fish takes , both of which came unhooked...... maybe I was holding them just too hard not wanting to lose them to the wreck again like the first one.
I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever land a fish when everything started to go right , fish after fish came over the gunnels , every drop produced either a cod to the boat or another lost fish , a pollack a mackerel and a good 2lb coalie came up amongst them .
They were a good stamp of fish averaging about 4-5lb with a fewabout 6-7 lb and the best one going 9lb 15oz
I didn't want to come home , it was fishing paradise , I was returning 4lbers and decided to try for a ling with the mackerel I'd caught as bait , not a touch.... but as soon as I went back to the pirk , up came another cod.
Eventually though , all good things come to an end , and I simply had to set off for home , the filleting was going to take an age.
I'm absolutely knackered , and I'm supposed to be going to Thirsk coarse fishing tomorrow ...... oh! I managed a pic or two as well
