Had a run out at lunch time , arrived at the marina to see boats coming back in , I was worried the sea might be up a bit , but I think they were coming back to watch something on the telly .
No messing about today , straight out to my special place and straight into fish from the first drop down , cod , cod and more cod , and they were all of a good size , once agin the best one went just short of 10lbs at 9lbs 12 , with another 9+ and an 8lb 10 to go with them , loads more in the 5/6/7lb bracket and I returned a load of fish I would normally have brought home just trying for that elusive double.
I had a ling , a few good coalies , mackerel and a pollock to go with them , I brought the mackerel and a few coalies home to eat...... I like coalfish as of ywo days ago , grilled with bolsamic vinegar mmm!
Once again I managed afew pics , but they are shockingly bad :red: I'm no David Bailey , plus in a small boat that's rocking about and trying to take them with a timer ........ well , they don't do the fishing justice.
The first one illustrates what happens when you set the timer , then realise you are not suitably attired for the picture (no hat)

Well done Ray,

Are you off in tomorrow? I am undecieded to turn left or right! Just had a text from micky and he has had four cod over 30lb and a double figuire halibut along with a load af big haddock and coalies! He is in for a culture shock when he is back on this side of the North sea in the morning! He said the biggest they had for the week was 49lb. They haven't been blessed by the weather and were fishing inside the fjyords most of the time. Isn't it strange how good the fishing is in Norway when you don't have the common fisheries policy in force! Might see you in the morning, about three!;)

Fantastic haul of fish Ray, the pics are good too, take some blue-tac out with you to stick the camera on to stop it falling over. Nowt wrong with the hat, keeps that sunburn at bay and those days when there are those pesky flies out there:D:D. Arthur

Bees....... that's what I get bothered with out on the boat , it always amazes me how a fully pollen laden bee just appears 6 miles out to sea with an easterly wind and just settles on the plotter for five minutes (probably having a look see where he is ) and then calm as you like sets off out to sea again .
