Headed back up Embleton on friday, first we decided to try the rocks at Dunstanburgh Castle, not a bite in 2 1/2 hours, headed back towards the car park and around 9pm (low tide) and decided to have a few hours off the beach, chucked my new little spinning rod out with ragworm and mackerel on the hook, after about 5 mins got a big bite, reeled it in and it was either a coley or a pollock/pollack (2.3lb) Was about 40cm long, ended up catching a plaice (1.1lb) and a flounder (1lb), along with 4 other smaller flatties which i chucked back to fight another day. Never caught owt on the beachcaster but the little spinning rod is turning out to be a beast!!!!!
