well bought mine friday and used it for the first time yesterday all i am going to say is what a rod and i christened it with two little tommies

i got he tt.

not joking you could cast a house brick out with it lol.

previously thought the top section wouldnt be as powerful as the ttr's as its so light weight.

how wrong was i. absolute powerhouse and total different design th the ttr and eliminator. recovery brilliant even with 8oz

you want to cast mr pye,s 10% and 25% stiffer tips and the standard 1 aswell beasty,s like you say the tip recovery is lightning quick

TT for me as well.
not as scary as its made out to be. Really user friendly, nice and light and not skinny like some rods these days. :)

Ive got the j curve. Lovely bite detection but you can tell it has the power to pull in larger fish when needed. Was only casting 5oz but feels like it can cast a lot more with ease. Lovely feel to it

Hi it the Excalibur TT as stiff or as heavy as the TTR
Thanks

Mark

supposed to be lighter than the likes of the older ttr and also they say it feels very stiff except for when you cast it the rod bends nicely with a very fast recovery of tip.

Nice rods, best century for a while but why they didn't reduce the butt diameter on the TT I don't know. It's not the rod it could have been.

The j curve feels lovely but not sure about 6-7 oz on one.

Wats the best one out of that range ?

Depends what you're looking for. If you want a rock rod then the tt but if you want a lighter rod the j curve. If you want a rod which is more for casting but also fishing light then maybe the c curve (although not got any experience with the c curve)
