set sail this morning around 8 steamed for about half hour, tried two places but nothing doing at all, so set off further out, this time was better mackeral 6 at a time, but no cod ,or ling, furher through the day when the wind began to get up it seemed better as coalfish seemed to show up, i was catching 4 at at a time at one point, about 2 lb each, then later on a got a pollock about 6-7lb thought it was a cod at first or rather a women did nr me did.
Then one ling only small about 6lb
later again through the day plenty of coalfish and the odd pollock, i only seen one cod caught all day about 7 lb caught by a guy other side of me caught on mackeral flapper.
The boat was excellent very fast and plenty of room , coming back was a very rough ride, spray coming over the deck all the way back to the marina,
i got soaked as well as others who never took waterproofs i,ll know better next time, but was a good day out.
all the fish i caught were caught using the same lures, shrimp rigs, only small. tried others muppets. shads etc but nothing.
