get the ordinance survey out and try one of the dozens of waters you will have never heard of, the rewards could be great !

Micky whats the craic about having permits for this type of fishing - been over the south west of Scotland loads of times and always obtained a permit - if you find a \"likely \" looking spot can you just pull the car in and fish it

Cheers Brian

i ask because i have a couple of weeks left to take and might get over soon

don\'t know about SW scotland but if your ever in the outer hebrides, where there\'s more freshwater locks than there is land, nearly all of them are unrestricted, so fill yer boots!

so they must be deep then

bri
ive fished the 3 lochs in glenluce and you just pay the bailiff when he comes round

most of the lochs aren\'t massively deep, there\'s just thousands of em, a couple have a numberr of non migratory salmon, and another one allows you to catch brownies and pollock inthe same bit of water, will try find a pic

there\'s fish in the majority of lochs, and its only a few of the bigger ones that are controlled, last time we were there it was a five a day to fish any on North Uist Estates waters, with a bag limit of 16 fish!
