Pennal clipped down with an impact shield, 4/0 on the bottom and 3/0 as the pennal!

Ilike the pulley rigs. I,m not fussed on the plastic shields on some rigs i buy. I,m convinced the hook sometimes does not detach. Much prefer the gemini wieght attachment which has hook on to clip your fishing hook into.

i use the impact shields all the time and they always detach. you must mean the other black plastic bait clips (cant remember the name) as ive had problems with them not detaching.

I also use the gemini weight clips Mick and find them spot on. On my pulley rigs I tie a loop in the hook snood and loop it over the swivel so it's not actually tied, then I have a selection of hook snoods of different lengths and hooks sizes, means I can swap snoods in a matter of seconds to suit the conditions.

For most type's of fishing it would be a clipped down Pennel pulley for me too. Probably 5/0s fishing for Cod and 3/0s for lighter tactics.
