With it being a cracking day and to get a hit of fishing to get me over the dissapointment of the delay on the new boat me and my eldest laddy had a few chucks at the Fish Quay on Sunday.
We fished just opposite sambucas in between two fishing boats. First up was my laddy with a small codling on his first cast;

I had a double shot of a whiting and dab then Fin got a descent flounder on his next cast;

He thought that was it and he had the biggest fish won and would take the honours with a big bar of Galaxy but second last cast I landed this one:

I pipped him to the prize! The re-match is already planned for this weekend weather depending. Thats the first time I have fished the Fish Quay for years and it wasnt too snaggy and nice and comfortable fishing for me and Fin with the added attraction of the chippy behind you!

I will venture out on Sunday Toby. I can't believe it's the last comp of the year, where has that season gone? I have hardly fished with new babies and work. Never mind!
How old is are your grand kids Arthur? Fin is six now and really starting to get into it, I tried when he was four and he just didn't have the patience but he is doing great now and will be out in the boat hopefully once she arrives!!!
