Welcome to the site mate. The fish quay is very snaggy unless youve got a good chuck. Have a look at the disabled fishing marks thread in shore fishing and you will find loads of places with easy access bud
i agree st peters but you need a rod stand if you go further down theres pottery bank where you can park the car right next to the river and theres barriers to lean the rod on! hope this helps mate!
thats in the walker area of the river

Think your getting the two mixed up(or i am ) but st peters basin is about as easy access as your going to get, try to fish 2hours either side high or low water or the tide pull will be bad, same for the fish quay.
pottery bank and st peters can both be got at via the car
st peters you need a rod stand cause there no barrier just the odd boat mooring its right next to the navy training building
and pottery bank is all barrierd and part of the walker riverside:
spot on with the tide times though
you can fish derectly behind the basin houses which is barrierd but you get the odd argument with the posh natives that your not aloud to fish there which is bull
Thanks for the advice chaps but went to the fish quay any way. Fished by the ice house feom 1200-1700 caught 2 coalie 2lb & 1.5lb and an undersized codling all three were taken within a hour of high water and returned safely using crab and rag. Lost a couple of sets of gear but it was worth it
