fished a mark down hawthorn last night (thursday) up a height as the swells were the size of buses after 9pm.
not much doing, but the small codling kept me busy all under 40cm - put back for next year
.
as the tide pushed in the better bites started. one good slack liner , got it half way in then nowt.
then nothing till about 11, called this last cast, put lug on and loads of mussel.
ten mins later, no bite just loads of slack. reeled in and lunge
- played it in to the ledge further down and got it up. 8lb 5 oz on the digital scales.

the usual garage mugshot
