hi there just wondered of you lot that has been out what the fish is taking are yous gettin them on just bait of pirk with hokeyes/muppets etc any help would be great thanks im off out tommorow for the 2nd time hope i have a report for yous all.

From the fe wi have caught so far this year they have been on squid and mackerel on daylights or flowing traces.

Tried leadheads and pirks but no joy...others had them thou on lures etc...water still not that clear yet thou.

No pattern yesterday, two of us on the boat fishing with totally different rigs, I was using lures (hokkais and muppets) with a small amount of bait whilst Tony tried flowing trace with crab and no lure. Results were we both caught almost at the same time .............. therefore leads to the thought that "anything" will catch if you hit the right spot at the right moment.
There was a difference in the way the hook was taken ..... the crab was greedily taken right down the mouth whilst the lures were top of mouth hooked.
