Fished a local pier 10.03.07

Me and the lads fished a well known pier last nite (sat) got there at about 7pm so just caught high tide!

There were 5 of us in total and no one else on, we had a cracking nite, cut a long story short, we had 12 fish between us 6 whiting and 6 codling, the biggest codling was approx 4lb 6 oz and the smallest cod was about 2lb mark, baits used surpisingly was mackarel! Thats all they would take!!!

Well done on catching summick, had a wander up shields pier 2day and it was just small coalies with a few on size. I know your not meant to fish tynemouth but hey your not meant to climb round the gates on shields pier!

You must have caught all the fish off the pier last night because we were on today and there was only 9 whittings and a single pollock caught between 27 of us fishing over a 4 and 1/2 hour match. Heaviest fish was 13 ozs.
