OOPS - anyway you should have left it in ,its all the rage now you know ,Sless the fashion Icon of Nesa - LMCO

and the Yanks have found a cure for baldness as well ,or you could just hoy your heed in your fly box and see what it comes out like

PS - you really didnt expect SYMPATHY Did you Ha Ha

Ouch!

Ouch!

You noddy!

How lucky can you get. A fraction of an inch either way and it would have been bye bye eye. I presume the fly wasn't barbed. Good job surgeon Dr Woods was there to remove it! Hope the fish were worth it! Any on the Dinky Do's then???

WOW Sless, what a way to remind people to always wear eye protection, Good job you had your personal Doc with you;) .
Glad to hear you are ok mate.

i was getting take after take on the dinky do
but i couldnt land the blighters
i got my 1st fish on a green blob and the second on a buzzer i tied
my 1st trout on my own tied fly
it was dark so the trout probably couldnt see it properly

as for a cure for baldness
when i start going bald im going to go gracefully
hahaha

Jeez graham,
you were lucky. due to an accident 9 years ago, with a snapped drill bit, I never ever fish with no glasses,
Wear them at work too. Just goes to show mate. It can happen to you.

Glad youre OK tho, hope it doesnt happen in June with a macy feather.!!

Ouch!

I've fished for a while now without eye protection as my last pair slipped of my sweaty napper at Digital and some fool danced all over them (me)

I will be off out this weekend to get another pair:present:

I've also learned if your pulling flies out of trees to pull downwards and not straight towards ones face.

These are what I wear at work, as Ive said, i almost lost an eye 8 years ago when a drill bit snapped and I wasnt wearing glasses. A pair of these stopped a 32 mm panel pin, from a gas powered finishing nailer, I pulled the trigger as the gun slipped, pin went through 9mm ply, and hit dead centre of the lens, leaving a dimple. It would have gone dead centre of my eyeball, not a doubt. think theyre worth it,?? Damn right they are, highly reccommended. Im never at work without them, and Ii wear a pair to flyfish if its too dull for shades.
