fishin for squid

how anyone here caught any squid from pier or shore ??? i know there is squid lures but is it practicAL in the north east ?

got one jigging for mackrel on south shields pier once

ive had one of blyth peir whilst macky bashing, decent size aswell horrible things though i wasnt touching it

might get one stuck on me feathers in the summer then .....cheers guys....thank for the info....anyone else had any experiece?
