So after our successful trip on Charisma, it was back to Filey, deep fried Pollack and chips(as Lynn takes a deep fat fryer with her each holiday!). I must say eating your fish a few hours after catching them is amazing. Can't get fresher.
Next day it was packing up time and moving to Reighton Sands Caravan park, £38 for 4 nights, courtesy of "The Sun." We do love a deal, as I'm sure you Yorkshiremen can appreciate!
Tuesday, Lynn decided to have a shopping/sightseeing day rather than fishing, I was amazed, she's never done that before, it's a very worrying development!
Went to Bridlington, which I was dreading, but the Old town is really lovely, with great antique/second hand shops and a cosy Georgian tearoom. Very pleasant.
Wednesday it was down to Filey for a shore session. No success, so moved to Bridlington harbour. Had a fair few small whiting and flatties, all returned safely. No photos as I left my phone in the caravan!
Then Wednesday evening was taking up with tying new rigs for our second boat trip. This time it was to be Shy Torque. Remembered about 7pm that we had to phone Skipper. Did so and was so disappointed to hear that the charter was cancelled because the weather was too rough! Couldn't believe it, Lynn was very upset. Still we have booked 10 trips in the last year or so and this was the first to be cancelled, so can't really complain, we have been very lucky up to now.
So Thursday was another day on the shopping/sightseeing trail, I really am worried now, Lynn is rapidly turning into a proper woman!! I think I need to have a quiet word with her. Next thing I know she will want to go on a real holiday, maybe even abroad! LOL
Hartlepool has been booked for Easter though, so I'm safe for a wee while yet.
