Hi guys,

Have fished the area before with a little bit of success but dont reallly have a clue about the various marks through the bay, any info would be great!

Cheers

i find its best if possible to walk the part of the beach you intend to fish to see where the holes are as the sand banks move about all the time. we usually fish the beach at druridge in the centre of the bay or at hadston at the north end of the bay. it never seems to produce in a flat calm sea. needs a little bit of movement.

Only problem is I live miles away so scouting the beach isnt really an option with the sandbars etc moving all the time. I surf so from the wave patterns I can probs have a decent guess at where the sand bars and holes would be.... Will try the centre - north parts next then I think.....

Cheers :D

Fish the middle where the small stream comes in. Rag and mackerel as bait, two hook flapper just past the last breaker as the tide is falling. Doesn't fish when flat mate. Fish the holes as said earlier, if you surf you'll know the craic. You should get small flounders and odd small turbot, with the outside chance of something decent (see the post about the 3lb turbot). Very nice place to fish. good luck, hope this helps. its only shallow, so if you fish the tide up, you can put sticks into the sand gullies, and youll see them at high tide, this can help fish location.

caught loads of turbot and flounders this year, for me its best when flat.any sea brings weed in ,might get a few small bass when theres a roll on but if you want turbot it needs to be flat
