Having a night sesh tmoz night but if the wind picks up too much might fish the river Blyth, (south bank) opposite the coal factory (I think thats what it is). Anyway does anyone have any advice on fishing this area, surely at night on a high tide you must get a few codling pushing up there but Ive never heard anyone talk about it. Any advice would be appreciated, cheers lads

The best place to fish is at the top end, next to the old lifeboat station. Cast into the middle of the river and use a long flowing trace. Plenty whities and the odd codling should show up.

Cheers mate, I ended up having a few hours in the river lastnight after getting pushed off the rocks with the tide. Was fishing just by the new Marina where the trawlers come along side, caught some cracking Whiting of about 40cm and plenty of undersized Codling
