Fishing up rowlands gill

me n the missus are thinking of taking the Bairn up rowlands gill on wednesday if theweather is ok. I was wondering if you can fish the river derwent for trout up there and do you have to pay to fish the river?

Ive got a rod licence.

hi its been 30 years or so since i was there i remember fishing just next to the caravan park had to get permits from the shop to fish don't know if its still the same brings back fond memories it was a really nice place to fish.Hope its not changed much and still as nice.
