flatty bashing on the tyne

fished the tyne today 1st jetty up from the redhugh bridge 1.30 til 4.30 , 2 hook flapper used with a 2oz lead. bait was ragworm tipped with mackrel , caught 6 flattys ranging from 25cm to 35 cm basically it was a fish a cast apart from some sticks caching the line the river was full of debris , had to come home because i ran out of bait , bags of rag were a joke 75 % of the worms were dead a couple of lads up the top were fishing a match & had been using crab but having little luck with it !!!

well done m8, just shows mackeral shouldnt b under estimated, crab is leathal for flounders but so is small strips of mackeral

9 times out of 10 if thys flounder thy you should catch em wif mackeral but always take a variety tho just incase
