Float fishing - advice please

Enjoy a spot of float fishing usually off the piers (not as much during the wacky macky season I might add), but was wondering if there'd be any point in trying now - likelihood of catches etc?

Pollock, coalies & wrasse are all likey targets in the right areas

I was float fishing today from roker pier got a few coalies on rag worm.
So it doesn't matter what time of year you float fish just as long as the wind is not to strong. Plenty fish to be had at the moment just give it a go.
