Float fishing

Hope this is,nt a stupid question but I was just wondering if it is ok to use a reel loaded with braid with a universal sliding float.......BGEE

I've been using 10lb braid on a little 2500 size Shimano for the last 4 or 5 years no problem - it's great at cutting through the wind and the contact when your float goes under is near instantaneous...just don't strike too hard or you might yank the hook!

Thanks for the quick reply Gary,that's very helpful, I have the same size reel as you and tho I. have heavier gear I wash,t sure if this set up with a float would. be OK ......BGEE
