used too use them years ago and yes i used to catch flatties on them but only used them in the summer months in the wear.

I use them in muddy estuaries,where visibility is poor.I make mine from white plastic spoons .On clean stretches of estuary,i reel in a few turns every 5 mins or so.Seem to have a decent catch rate.
