myself and a pal fished today from 9.30 till 5.00 not one fish caught between us tried bubble floating with power bait, worm. then we got the fly rods out tried dawsons olives black and orange fritz hears ears.then put the floating line as we could see some fish rising tried daddy long legs but to no avail thats the third time ive been there never going again trying some where else

so its not just the sea fishing thats crap at the minute. nice one for trying mate.

Pottsy i had two long day sessions at the Derwent recently where i blanked. Tried the North Shore last time out and did really well. You can read my report on here.
As to Fontburn - never fished it-but will go up one of these days in the summer.
