Footy

agree Graham
excellent result they have\'nt got much to fear in the Semis either so best of luck to them ;)

Att: 24,521 - says it all for me!!! Gibson would be better off spending his money a few mile further North. :(

Well done to the Boro players tho!! at least they played their part

101,169 through the turnstiles over 5 home games in Europe

2 home games in Europe for Both Newcastle or S/Land and that would be topped by either of them ,there will be 60,000 boro applying if they get to the final though :casstet: :casstet:

Oh you negative people - Jealousy !!!!

We have had 20 games more than played in premiership. 17-18 games more than some teams.

Dont forget we still have at least 2 games in europe and a FA cup replay to play - money does not grow on trees.

Jealous - Not at All - from the above, i take it you have clicked the turnstile ratchet on every home game this season ,i applaud you ,but there are Many that have not ,but when the tickets for the semi finals come on sale ,some will by quirk of memory ,actually remember where the Riverside is situated - Not jealous at all - Been there done that - all of them Home and Away- aahh ,memories ,thats all they are though ;) ;)

Just done some maths and
Last year Newcastle had 35000 there for their european game which given that the Toon has a population of 259000 people was a representative figure of 13% of population.

Thursday Boro had 25000 there which of a population of Middlesbrough of 134000 gives a representative figure of 18%.

So don\'t worry we still remain a SMALL TOWN IN EUROPE with a better following per head than Newcastle.

Jason

(box of worms opened I think)

we will take your word on it Jason - you have the facts and must have the Census for tyneside ,cos i didnt know the population - what about adding all your home games in europe against all our home games in europe - funny how you can make stats look - we will leave it there as this is a fishing site - i applauded you for going to all the home games (including Europe ) i hope someone who has never been this season (and there is quite a few) doesnt get your ticket and you end up watching it on the telly

;)

you will still lift one cup

maybe two but thats at a push ,dont know whats easier the FA or the Waffa Cup (UEFA) ,but you will get one of them

;)

you will still lift one cup

I\'m going to Mr Shearers testimonial next month and I feel so sorry that he hasn\'t lifted a cup for the toon.

I was at the first leg of the final when we won the fairs cup in 1969 and been waiting patiently since. I watched Bob Moncur hold the cup above his head when the team drove down from N/cle airport in an open top bus then the gates were opened at St James\'s and the team paraded with the cup.

If I wasn\'t a devoted toon fan I\'d be a boro fan even tho I\'m glad they lost today.

I was at the home game when thanks to Lee Clark we drew 2-2 and most the game the boro fans made most the noise

im a devoted sunderland fan have season ticket never missed a home game would love to go to every away game and im over the moon for the boro getting to the semis iff they keep playing like that well done to them the north east is the north east to me till sunderland play one or the other lol come on the boro lift that cup

Yes indeed well done Boro ,however as I tell the supporters at work they aren\'t the best north east team in the premiership as they are from north yorkshire and not even closely related to the north east ;)
