Hi i know not everyone fishes in a club but i would like to know what you think of our unique £ for lb payout

Here’s how it works, all the £2's from each entry are added up and at the end of the season divided into the overall total weight in lbs of fish caught in that season to give our unique £ for lb payout.

For Example :-
£500 in the kitty and 500 lb of fish caught the payout is £ 1.00 per lb
£500 ~ ~ ~ ~ 750 lb ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 66p per lb
£500 ~ ~ ~ ~ 250 lb ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ £2.00 per lb

Over the 7 seasons we have been running our unique £ for lb kitty the payout has been around £1 payed out for every 1 lb of fish caught,
For example:-
At the end of the season if you have caught 45 lb of fish, then your pay out at the end of the season will be a cash share from the £ for lb kitty which would be approx £45 on the presentation night (based on last 7 yrs).

We thought this was a good way to make sure everyone who catches fish gets a payout at the end of the season not just the winners. The £ for lb kitty has always been very popular with club members.

Always a good idea to get everyone a payout not just the big weight number guys

even few ££ makes people feel they have done well :cool:

Yep I agree good idea mate. I just wish I had the time ta fish club matches and I would be at ur club seens as ur the closest. Still might join anyway whens ur next meeting mate

I'm not really that bothered about cash payouts for club matches, as long as cost is not too steep - bragging rights will do me lol!! It's nice to win a few quid now & again to go towards costs however and your system looks to reward everyone over the course of the year - in that sense I'd say it's an excellent way of doing things.

Gary :)
