me and my mate headed off from sunderland at about 6pm in search of mackrell tried a 1/2 mile from piers and nothing so decided to try a bit rough ground fishing 1st drop i hit into a decent fish got it just under surface and the bugger dropped off then we started hitting a few small cod around 2lb we ended up with 5 cod and 1 bleggy biggest cod was around 3lb not bad for a couple of hours fishing
