Well lads, I flew to france yesterday to start a new job for a year, i finished working in America in the summer and have had my longest fishing season in the north east for about 12 years! Been a decent one for me with a few cod and bass showing from lynmouth, newbiggin, cambois and blyth areas!!!

I look forward to reading the rest of all your winter reports and wish yous luck for the rest of the season, hopefully ill get back in the catch reports nexts christmas!!!!

Good luck lads and lasses!

By the way i dont speak a word of the local lingo yet, so we'll see how long i last out here!!

Well, the 12 months actually lasted 18 and im finished this week!! back yem for six weeks and then back off to the states! Im off to the isle of Skye and Harris for a week from next weekend and im sure I can manage a catch report afterwards!! Heading up there with a mate, having no clue about any marks etc. other than the advise I have received on here, should be fun though, im sure these places are fishy????????

Also fancy a trip on a charter over the summer giving the number of fish I've been reading about being caught!!

Tight lines

Did you manage to pick up the lingo while you were in France? I gave it up in high school and kinda wished I hadn't - not that I've ever needed it, but one day it might come in handy...

Not really to be honest! I can ask for beer and cheese and that pretty much got me by!!!!
