Rod it will more than not happen , i posted back in Sept about a \"rumour\" that they were putting them twirly /spikey anti climb things on the 1st gate and within a few weeks the rumour was fact ,cos they had done it ,so i reckon if the 2nd gate is is on its way it will not take long to put it in place - i can not see why they would want to put it back up ,apart from a deliberate act to stop people fishing - which lets be honest is a bit petty ,yes i know it gets a bit messy and all that but i dont see anybody putting gates up to stop you walking down King Street in Shields on a Sunday morning after the pizza/Mcdonalds of this world have let the Clowns \"deposit \" the leftovers from Saturday night.

If they want the gates up they will get them up and there is nothing we can do about it and if i was a port of Tyne member i would stop people fishing the pier. Its a popular spot for people visiting the area and the mess is shocking in the summer.

Still i am sure we wil find away round the gates some way.

ive got the sneaky feeling that all if not some of these new measures just happen to co-inside with the introduction of the sea fishing licence
everyone was wondering how it was going to be policed ,well now we know..block off the venues..itl not be long before blyth, roker ,amble to name a few follow along the same lines, before long youl see the no fishing without a permit signs going up along the beaches as well

Maybe a fishing club is after exclusive rights to fish it or more likely its a public liablilty issue and the the mess that gets left behind

but i am always careful what i am doing.
and if it looks dodgy i still do it.........because i am stupid sometimes.....and i dont think first.

i have got to learn!
