hope they catch you many fish. i wish i could make my own

well i know mine arent perfect mate but they are relatively easy to tie, its the whip finish tool that takes some getting used to without someone actually showing you.But cheers for the reply.I will find out on saturday if they are any good lol

jimmy try using the macro setting on your camera it helps with close up work and might get rid of the blurring on your shots, it took me a few times to get it right, here is one i done mate

sorry mate, pics taken on my mobile phone, got a digi cam but aint got a clue how to use the thing, had it about 3 yrs but cant even work it out from the instruction booklet

jimmy the macro button / symbol will look like sort of flower mate

aint got a macro button on my phone mate, and dont have a clue how to take a pic with my digi cam.By the way thats a great daddy you have tied mate.Wish i was as competent as that. but you know what its like when you got no one to show you the ropes, its just try and try again until you get it correct

cheers mate , i havent been tying long myself, i started with lures like fritz and cats whiskers and then started doing stuff a bit more technical, im on game angler online and there is some good tyers on there , there is some good step by steps as well

hi mate get yourself on the fly fishing fourms site they are a great bunch of lads / lasses there is a good fly tying section with some excellent step by steps . The more you tie the more competent you will be , I dont use a whipfinish tool and just finish them by hand (much easier) with a drop of super glue or varnish on the head . a good book to start with is the peter gatherole begginers guide to fly tying I think thats his name might be wrong but its a good book

i've a gathercole book as well 'the fly tyers bible' excellent book jimmy loads of good tips and patterns to tie. remember though, rainbow trout aren't too clever and they're defo not fly tying judges.............;)

good luck sat

Hi this reminds me I once came across some small gold/yellow see through beads (the Cockatoo nailed our lasses curtain tieback`s) just stuck 4 or 5 on a hook with super glue, went to the lake the next day nothing was doing and thought I`ll give it a daft go tied one under a Klinkhammer just as a sight indicator and boom as soon as they hit the water couldn't believe it non stop action for about two hours and caused a bit of a stir people wanting to know what I was doing, ended up supplying lads with gold beads in little bags looking very suspicious.

Then got real clever when I got some fly tying gear added marabou tails sparkly tails different colored heads all sorts of combination's but none worked like 4 or 5 beads superglued to a hook, sometimes things are just best kept simple
