Nooo Fish

Hello lads.

Had my second time fishing today with my mate budgie (his first time in years). Went to the glass centre today because roker pier was shut and the ratty was chockablock. It turned out to be a canny day. We got there for about half 2 and fished till about half 7 and caught 14 fish between us. They were all tiddlers but were only fishing for the fun. 4 flatties, 7 coalie, 2 whitey and an eel looking fish I don't know what it was but it was a sort of browny yellow colour. We were using rag and bluey for bait. Here's a photo of budgie with a fish to give you an idea of the size of fish.

Well done on the fish, but its a shame that your mate budgie had to spoil the day by snapping branches of a nearby tree(don't know if you were starting a fire or what). As anglers you should be more responsible as you never know who's watching you.I was the bloke in the red top fishing just along from you,I can be seen in the background on the photograph.Joe public will see actions like that and tar every angler as the same as your mate.Next time have a word with him!

He took one branch that was already hanging off the tree so we could make a crab line for the bairn to dunk over the edge not snapping enough branches to make a fire. We were not lighting fires or anything like that. We were too busy reeling fish in.

Could have been a rockling also. Shame you never got a photo but sounds like it was a new species for you either way. Well done lads

Cheers mate. Ill get a photo of the next one. I need to print off a sheet for the species hunt to keep track of what I'm catching.

That's fair enough ,but you just got watch as there's been a lot of issues down there with fires being started and the brickwork being destroyed by the fires .There are always university vans driving around to keep an eye on the place and police have been called when anglers have started fires so if people see you pulling branches from trees they might jump to conclusions that's all

No bother Fen. Thanks for the heads up. We would never go round setting fires or out like that. That's the sort of thing that spoils it for everyone.

its great when ya gotta gaurdian angel watching over ya :D

It is mate. That must have been why we caught so many fish.
