Finally got home this evening after an over night stop over at mothers in North Yorks yesterday...

Left the N/E at 0300 last Wednesday and had tent(s) pitched by 1315 ;)

Weather - scorchio scorchio scorchio :D

A thunder storm on the thursday night looked ominous but by Friday morning it had cleared away

Friday: Leisurely brekkie at tent with same compadres as last year before heading off towards the Pyramid Stage field for the first bout of music for the weekend

1340 Regina Spektor
1510 N. E.R.D. - didn't watch this full set for some reason as I aint really down with the Homeys, wandered off for beer and sightseeing
1640 Fleet Foxes - Still drinking beer - caught the end
1820 Lily Allen - always a good stage act even if you don't like the music

Changed stages to the Other Stage

2000 - Lady GaGa...she was OK :red:
2130 - The Ting Tings

We then wondered off to the hippy stuff for some quiet time manageing to catch The Blockheads (of Ian Dury etc) on the Avalon Stage as we headed back to our tent

Saturday: Early role call and brekkie today as we wantedto be the other side of Glasto at the Jazz World stage for ROLF HARRIS :D...turns out so did 75000 others as the area was standing room only - still it was a beautiful thing to hear so many people singing Tie Me Kangeroo down, Two Little Boys and so on :red:

Chilled out in the general area for a few hours as the hot sticky weather and muddy conditions were sapping stamina levels - headed back to the Pyramid Stage to catch the end of Crosby, Stills and Nash

2000 - Kasabian
2200 - Bruce Springsteen...quite frankly - awesome  showed all young pretenders how to put on a show :D

Sunday: After another early brekkie it was staright back to the Pyramid Stage

1200 - Status Quo...a travesty really that they only got an hour slot, but they still managed to rock the crowds socks off
1330 - Tony Christie :red:...nuff said
1450 - Amadou and Mariam :red:...yes quite, I said that too :D
1615 - Tom Jones
1800 - Madness...I was pretty drunk by this stage :D
2000 - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
2200 - Blur...not a huge fan (chose the Oasis side of BritPop in the nineties) but still a good show

Not the best festival musically this year I don't think but every time I go it's still good fun :D

Monday - Despite early start to get base camp sorted and stowed and then the long trek to the cars we managed to leave the Glastonbury car parks at 1410...we left Somerset about 3 hours later :o got to North Yorks for 2145...dead on our feet (mum had made us Spag Bol and Pudding - which we ate gratefully...aren't Mums great :D)

Tired, weather beaten and aching but had a great time...will add pics tomorrow ;):D
