Gloat fishing 9/1/13

Went down Whitley pipe rocks the night from 7 till 9 to make the most of the flat sea float fishing again with me glow sticks taped to the top, had another class night anly got 3 codling out n missed 2 due to staring into space and not the float ha! 1 @ 2lb, 1 @ 1.3/4lb n 1 @ about 7 inch which a Cudnt believe had the power to take the float down but wer al good fun on the light gear. All fish were returned hopefully the morro al get a bigger 1 lol al caught on rag n lug 7 foot dropper on a 2/0 hook .

thats mint be good fun on light gear i often use the carp rod with spinner when the mackys about get a hell of a fight, probs be a crowd down there tonight trying it out

Read a post a little while back that said to use the clear tube you get in the packet, double looped through the centre of the float tied to a swivel at the bottom, so you can still use it as a slider and it's easy to replace the starlights, or even fit a few tubes if visibility is a problem. I've used starlight wagglers on stillwaters for Tench and bream and stuff, it's a hell of a buzz when you see it slide away and they stand out a mile in the dark.
