Google Earth/Multimap aerial pics (how out of date?!!)

Was looking at bits of the coast on multimap for spots to try fishing, realised that when i looked at Blyth I could see the power station! So I pulled the latest version of Google Earth and began to look on there - also had the power station!
GE's pics are a better resolution so I tried to work out roughly the year based on what I know has changed at my house and where my parents live, scrolled to my place and could see one of my old cars on the drive, couldn't see the other but then I scrolled to my parents and sure enough there's my other motor outside their place. The crossover time when I had both those cars puts GE's image at between October 2001 and April 2002, well out of date! lol.

just for an added bit of mirth to the whole thing - got some mates at work around and we checked a few places. We found that not only are my cars from 2001/2002 on there, but scrolling to Washington where I used to work we can see my current car and my mate's previous one (must have been about March last year). Can see another lad actually working on one of his cars, with his wife's most recent car parked up too.
All makes for very weird viewing!
