Fished Grahams sands last night 8.45pm to 12.40am which was about one hour down to low water then 3 hours up. I set up in the middle of the bay slightly towards the left (towards trow point) casting straight out. Got to try out my new cheap Lidl waders :) Sea was fairly flat and a clear sky full of stars. Nobody else around except for two lads fishing the big beach on the other side of the point and some bunnies running about on the grass behind. Baits used rag, lug, mackeral and prawn. I only caught one fish , a rockling (on prawn), but it was a nice night to be out. The Lidl waders seem good for the money (£16.99) but they are not breathable so by the end of the session my legs were as damp as a chinese wrestlers jock strap. Still, they let me wade out a fair way to cast so increasing my distance (which is usually crap :) ). I had a Lidl tip light on too and they are really bright and good value.

Hi Thunderpants where is Grahams Sands as ive never heard of that area and is that the first time you have fished there and if not does it fish well at anytime cheers :D:D:D

South Shields mate. It's the sandy bay between Trow Point (where the gun turret is) and Target Rock. At high tide you can't see the sand. First time I've bait fished there only done a bit of summer spinning there before.

well done m8t...fished that area a few weeks back when them winds were really strong...good shelter down there however no catch to report.

Hi never fished that area before but heard it fishes better after a good easterly, I fancy trying the beach round the corner where the old target rock was does any one know what that's like

Gonna give them rocks a go this weekend, been at the custom house tuesday just gone, 1 fish, a Coaly 1.5lb, on ragworm. When is it best to start spinning from Trow Rocks?

A place i've always wanted to give a blast but never got round to it, whats the ground like fishing from the bay, tackle hungry or mixed?

A rockling is better than nothing :D
