Grayling flies

As I am fishing the River Annan next weekend for grayling I thought I better tie some flies with tungsten beads so the will get down deep quickly. Here's hoping they work

Anybody else got any patterns that work. Post some pics and details of the materials used. My flies are based on a pattern by Paul Proctor in the latest Trout Fisherman.

You could always tie some classic patterns with additional tungsten beads on - Red Tags, P&O's, Greenwells or Invincibles, they'd all work well with a bit of weight. Or you could just tie them normally and stick a small split shot on your leader next to the knot. ;)

Oh and if you want a real challenge for Grayling try a small 6ft spinning rod with a centre pin and freeline a lob worm down in the current, it's a real buzz fishing light gear for Grayling because they fight so well.
