Groin South Shields.

Had a go on the Groin today lads. Some deep water after a Cod. Started at 11;30 am and first cast was into a nice whity. Rest of the afternoon went down hill
Got to 6 pm and had enough. Few knocks but feel it was crabs. Two other lads came on and few whiteys and flatties came up. Nee blanks. Nice to be out on a nice day. Loads of folk walking up and down the pier.
Lost quite a bit of gear as well on the ledge on outgoing tide.

only fished it twice and lost gear both times, that whity will be nice with a few chips.

I you don't mind losing tackle as much when you've got a few fish to show for it . Lost a load of gear there with no fish

Difficult place to fish Mick but at least you had a decent Whitey to show. Dosnt seem to have fished so well this year as in past years, well,not for me anyway lol.
