Headed off after digging a few worms at Hauxley with the intention of trying a couple of wrecks with an expert (AmbleCol off this forum who I fish with in the Amble Club but normally on the shore). The weather was a bit snotty and quite a breeze blowing as we headed south. Managed a few small codlings to lug on flowing traces before one big enough for tea. The water was still coloured from the sea running earlier in the week.

After a while we tried a couple of inshore wrecks and had a great day with the pollack. Mickey got the biggest at just over 6lb we think as we put her back.

The Lightening show on the way back in was nearly as spectacular as the fishing! On second thoughts it wasn't! Thanks for your help and advice with the wreck fishing mullarkey Colin.

Might be off today if the Gaffa lets me! Tight lines.

Nice to see the pics. Enjoyed the afternoon out. What did you catch the pollack on! I can still see the smile on mickeys face with his first pollack - makes the fishing worthwile just for that. Col
